The 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly will open on 17 September 2019 at the UN Headquarters in New York. Heads of states and governments from 193 Member States will convene during the high-level week (23 – 30 September 2018) for several high-level events including on Universal Health Coverage, Climate Action, Financing and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and progress in addressing the priorities of Small Island developing states.
The WHO delegation will be led by Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and will aim to place health at the center of the global political agenda through engaging ries at the highest level and strengthening partnerships for the Organization’s priorities, including Health for All.
