Overview

WHO plays a leading role in conducting and promoting research and studies on important legal developments related to health, including publications such as legislative studies and background papers.

This supports WHO’s role in providing needed technical expertise and guidance on health laws and is key to help member states in making informed decisions on this topic. Over the years, WHO has undertaken research on many health law topics and will continue to do so as the health field evolved (i.e. legal frameworks for digital health).
