The sixty-eighth session of the Regional Committee for the Western Pacific was held in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, from 9 to 13 October 2017. The opening ceremony included a cultural presentation and addresses by the Australian Minister for Health and Minister for Sport, the WHO Regional Director for the Western Pacific and the outgoing Chairperson of the sixty-seventh session of the Regional Committee.
