WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus led the WHO delegation at the G20 Summit which was held on 7–8 July 2017, in Hamburg, Germany. Dr Tedros participated in all G20 sessions, including deliberations on priorities for health, global growth, trade, sustainable development, climate, energy, partnership with Africa, migration, digitalization, women’s empowerment, and employment.
In his remarks to G20, Dr Tedros thanked Chancellor Merkel for her leadership in putting health on the G20 agenda.
