Status as of 30 June 2019
Since 2014, a nationwide cash reward has been offered for the voluntary reporting of dracunculiasis cases. If you have seen a case of guinea-worm disease in South Sudan, please call 00 211 5644 3990/00 211 9352 01181/00 211 9151 79815 or report to the nearest health facility to receive the cash a reward of SPP 5000.
- A person coming forward with a un-emerge guinea worm will received SSP 5,000.
- A person coming forward with guinea worm that has already emerged from the person’s body or after the blister has ruptured will receive SSP 2,500
- A person giving information that informs the programme about a case of guinea-worm disease will receive SSP 1000.
